The growing importance of ISE following the expo’s move to Barcelona was illustrated by the enormous attendance at this year’s trade fair.
With the show having mushroomed since its origins in pure AV to embrace show technology in all its forms, GLP was one company that responded positively to the evident interest in the lighting segment.
This year the show hosted a total of 58,107 visitors – well above forecast and 33% higher than in May 2022.
GLP certainly had no intention of underestimating the significance. It substantially upgraded its stand design, with an enlarged lounge area to create a cozy environment, with a number of natural wooden surfaces.
This brought additional benefits for the company, as it was able to route many domestic customers to its newly created Spanish subsidiary, as well as welcoming many existing and high-level international customers.
Much of the focus, as expected, was on the new impression X5 Series, and notably the impression X5 Compact, which recently celebrated its launch.
And with the 2023 outdoor season soon beckoning, potential customers had a keen eye on the waterproof, IP65-rated FUSION X-Par 12 Z, with its zoom optics.
Finally, the ever-popular JDC Line hybrid strobe was another primary focus for many visitors.
Throughout the show, GLP was keen to reinforce the message that all the company’s new X5 products are shipping with short delivery times.
According to GLP founder and CEO Udo Künzler, this formula brought the expected level of success. “We look back on a very successful ISE,” he says. “Once again our expectations were exceeded, and we are already looking forward to the next fair here.”
